A+ Educational Consulting works with school and district leaders to strengthen literacy instruction and improve student achievement. Our work is grounded in the Science of Reading, the Science of Learning, explicit instruction, and high-quality instructional materials. We provide literacy systems audits, professional learning, job-embedded coaching, curriculum implementation support, and instructional studio sessions. Founder Angie Schaal, Ed.S., is a former Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, elementary principal, and Regional Early Literacy Specialist for the State of Ohio. She has delivered structured literacy and explicit instruction training to more than 250 educators at American international schools in Honduras and Mexico. These schools follow a US academic program aligned to Common Core and hold the same Cognia accreditation as American public school districts.
